No Regrets. And if so, do it all over again or do something else.

One of the best things that this writer can do to feel less nervous and in his head is to write. It is cathartic, makes me laugh at myself, stay humble, and basically hit the brakes in my head when that inner critic is beating me up for no good reason.
Why do I beat myself up over and over again?! Regrets, Regrets, Regrets.
However, one positively impactful lesson I learned from beginning this Sunny Road idea is everyone has regrets. Wow! It’s not just me. It took me this long in my life to realize this. Who’s the naive one here? Me. That’s who.
So what’s wrong with having regrets? Not a darn thing. As long as you don’t let it bring you unconditionally down. At least this is the way I look at my regrets.
I envision my next challenge in life. My next chapter that will ensue. Never give up. Take action, and do it now. Carpe diem, right?
There’s this movie from the 1980’s that I love to watch over and over again. It’s entitled, “Vision Quest.” Its about an 18 year old young man named Louden Swain. He is a wrestler on his varsity wrestling team however he is not satisfied. He wants to lose over 20 pounds asap. His goal is to wrestle the number one returning state champion wrestler who weighs in at 168 pounds. His name is Brian Shute, and he is an intimidating and powerful wrestler.
Within the first 3 minutes of the movie, the audience watches Louden tirelessly jump rope. We hear his voice as he sets the theme for what is to come. He says, paraphrased: “My name is Louden. Louden Swain. I’m 18 years old, and I haven’t done anything important yet. Well, now it is time to make my mark!”
I encourage you to find this movie, and watch it. It is very moving, inspiring, and motivating. It doesn’t matter if you like or play sports. This movie appeals to all of the dreamers in the world, just like me.
Introspectively, we learned so much from starting The Sunny Road. We would do it all again too! No regrets at all. Like Louden Swain, we wanted to make our mark in life. Our goal was to mitigate bullying, specifically social media bullying & assist individuals living with speech impediments. Did this happen? Not exactly. It was sure fun to do, and we met such amazing people along this journey.
Hopefully, we did not irritate or bother too many friends and family members with my endless questions. I am a curious chap, and love to have intellectual conversations with others.. We will always be and remain humble, and continue to learn from everyone we encounter.
The Sunny Road may have finished short of this marathon we were hoping to achieve. No looking back ever. We are very happy we even tried. We not only showed up but we chose our own path. It was so much fun, and you made it worth the time and effort. A big thank you to you!!
All the best to you.
Thank you, kindly. 😊
